Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation (LLF, India)

Arpita Desai - Coordinator

Tata Memorial Hospital has established a Leukemia Lymphoma Foundation to support and look into the concerns of needy patients suffering from the disease. The foundation's mission is to collect funds for financing the treatment of the most marginalized patients to the fullest extent possible. To provide counseling services for the patients and their families about the disease through workshops, sessions, distributions, booklets, etc. Form support groups among patients and caregivers to assist with coping and other medical concerns. To disseminate information and create awareness about Lymphoma and Leukemia to a larger population through various forms of media. To support and encourage research on the disease and its multiple dimensions. We find a significant need to have sustainable funding support; thereby, there is a need for support from individual donors, charity/voluntary organizations, and corporate houses.

In 2022 Arpita Desai a TAP Charity Inc founding member worked with the LLF foundation to donate a grant of five thousand dollars that has helped the cause of the foundation to meet its mission. Dr. Manju provided her testimony on how this donation has help with the mission.

Thank you Arpita for working with LLF for Leukemia and Lymphoma patients and their families

The partnership with Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (T.S.E.C) Alumni Philanthropy (TAP), aimed to address the primary challenge – treatment support for the financially constrained patients of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, a leading cancer hospital of India. That is, to manage the initial or emergency funding needs of patients who are over the age of 25 years; and to get the funding support that laid less conditions to provide the support. We were happy that the TAP team – Prasana Iyengar, Kunal Shah, Deepak Tripathi, Dhananjay Mahajan, Arpita Desai and others from

TAP team have provided exactly what we asked for...the funding support has helped us provide emergency funding support for almost 40 patients in the year 2022.

What we also appreciate about working with TAP is their keenness to understand the challenges, to understand the inspiring stories revolving around the patients, tracking of the funding program, and giving an assurance of a continued and higher funding support…this involved partnership is encouraging…TAP is slowly becoming one of the to-go-to options.
